Louise
Characteristics
Story
Louise comes from a difficult situation. A man rented out a house on a plot; the tenant stopped paying and left overnight, abandoning the dogs. There were four dogs. By the time neighbours noticed, two had already died. Thelma (now adopted) and Louise were true survivors.
Another shelter contacted us with no space left; their immediate fate was the pound. We were able to make room and they came to us. They ate non-stop at first and gradually understood their fate had changed.
Today Louise is looking for a family to give her all the affection she has missed. She is compatible with other dogs. Not tested with cats. She has one eye that needs occasional treatment (conjunctivitis treated with antibiotic and cream).
She is sociable with other dogs but not submissive. She loves our company: when we visit the shelter she sits close to wherever we are to ask for affection.
