Lucy
Characteristics
Story
Not long ago Lucy came to us through a forest ranger who found her abandoned and brought her to the shelter.
We soon noticed something was wrong with her hind leg. The vet explained that, probably as a result of being beaten, one of her kneecaps had healed incorrectly. She was never taken to a vet at the time; the bone had fused in a way that restricted her movement.
We decided to improve her quality of life with surgery to reconstruct the kneecap. It has been a success and she is recovering gradually. In the photos you can see us dressing her wounds; she lets us because she is very good.
Her age is approximate; we believe she may be between two and three years old. The only thing she dislikes is being picked up. She is very affectionate.
